I just got these boots in black and I love them. The leather is beautiful quality, and they are 100 times more comfortable than the short Frye boots, which cost twice as much. Today is my first day wearing them, and after 9 hours they are still comfortable - no rubbing or blisters. My size can be anything from a 7 to an 8... I ordered the 7 in these boots and they are perfect... maybe even a touch too roomy, but should be fine with a heel pad. Definitely, definitely recommend these boots - the price cannot be beat, and the quality is top notch.

The Carson Pull is sexy, stylish and oh so soft. It fits perfectly. There is enough room for my toes to wiggle around. It fits nicely around my calf not baggy like most. The only thing I would change is... I will be ordering a pair of custom foot orthotics for it. I was looking for the perfect boot for a long time and I believe this is it. The problem is the price. It is rather expensive. Would I buy it again? Most likely or I'll get a Carson Shortie. The boot I have is the color "natural". The burnt red and plum look fun.

i took a chance that these would be true to size, given that i couldn't find a review that said otherwise. nine west is inconsistent with their sizing. i just got these boots, and they are sooo cute and comfortable. the only problem is that it's a 1/2 size too large, so sadly, i'm returning them. i hope i can get them in the 7!

they have a zipper on the side for easy on and off. the opening of the boot is actually really wide, so if you have skinny legs, i'd recommend wearing them with jeans only. i'm on the thicker side, and the opening is wide for me. with jeans, they're perfect! great for those that like the modern cowboy look without looking like you just stepped out of the wild west.

The inner lining runs all of the way through the boot so your foot just slides effortlessly into place. a really solid, well made boot. the combination of the zipper and laces provides a perfect fit. the boot's held up very well walking through light snow and the accompanying slush and puddles. the toebox is a little longer than i'd expected and the boot looks a touch more masculine than i'd thought, but i really do enjoy walking in them and have received multiple compliments.

I ordered these in black, size 8.5 (B), which is my normal size, and they fit perfectly even with medium-weight socks. My feet are a little narrow. If you have a wider foot, I would absolutely advise you to order the wider width because they do seem a little snug across the top of my foot, near the ankle. I was able to loosen the laces and take care of that. They are good sturdy boots for winter. I have not tested the waterproofing yet, but I did notice that they don't keep my feet as warm as I would like. You need to wear some good, warm socks with them. Also, they are easily scuffed up but that can be fixed by simply rubbing them with a damp cloth. Those two issues aside, I like the boots and they are made very, very, well (typical of the brand).

After reading some of the reviews on here, I was a bit on the fence about ordering these boots in the size I needed, but not in wide width(since they were out of stock). After retiring my other boots of 4 years, I needed something that wasn't going to give out on me in three months. Well, they just came today, I got them in a 9 1/2 and I must say, they are some comfy boots. I put my feet in them, and have been wearing them most of the day, no discomfort, almost like they were already broken in for me. Excellent quality, well made..I have a feeling these boots are going to get some major mileage outta me. I just wished with pants on that they didn't look so cowboy bootish..Other then that, highly recommended.

I was wanting this boot for a looong time. I almost bought it from Amazon but instead noticed that a great shoestore right down the street from me had a big boot sale-went in and found them for $75-yep-that's right..only $75!!! I got the size 9 in SMOOTH BLACK-they felt a little snug at first but since they are leather so stretched a lot right away. I wear them all the time instead of my Uggs-I have the classic cardy in black, which you can't really wear on cruddy streets of Chicago. I ride my bike around town alot , so these boots were a great choice and work for my lifestyle!!

I saw these boots in an Aldo store and loved them. They had the cognac in my size but not the medium brown. Unfortunatly I didn't check the names of the colors before looking for them online. I saw the picture of cognac and bought them. I've uploaded a picture of the boots I recieved to show a more accurate color. I just took the picture with the over head lights on so it's actually slightly lighter/more yellow than the photo. I'm usually a size 8-8 1/2 and purchased a 9. They're slightly too big but I'd be afraid to go to an 8. They sell boot inserts at their store so that would probably make the boots fit. These are being sent back.

This shoe was cute and fit (size 9 usually and ordered size 11). However, I noticed the shoe had a bit of strange coloring, which could have been on purpose, but was different from the picture. The toe was darker than the rest of the boot, which I was not fond of. I sent the shoes back because they were too clunky of a high heel for me. It had a wonderful interior. I suggest this for anyone who is talented with wearing (wooden)high heels.

I saw many reviews commented the size to be too small. I usually wear 7 1/2 or 8, so I would have gotten 8, but I got 9 instead. They are on a narrow side as reviews said, but 9 was too big for me. They're wearable with inserts, so I kept them, but not too comfortable. Design is nice, though.------to buy shoes online is not a good thing to do.

The key purchase point was the loops. It enables my daughter to put them on herself which she loves and makes her feel more empowered. She would even declare to us that she is a big girl because she can put the boots on!

No obvious wear and tear but this is a toddler's footwear. You'll have to expect typical wear over time. Other than that it's very durable.

These must be the cutest boots I have ever bought, seen, imagined for my totally pink daughter.

She didnt want to put them on at first and I was so so disappointed. Now when she sees them she loves wearing them because of the big girl heel which isnt really high. Just high enough to make her feel grown.

Well worth the price. Quality seems just as great as in pic.

These boots are terribly cute and seem to be pretty sturdy, except the strap to pull them on, which busted the first time my son tugged on them.. However they are more than a whole size big. They literally fall off my 4 year olds feet as he walks. When I stuff the toes so they fit better they rub blisters on his heels. Can't return them though because I need them now and it'll take another 6 weeks to get them to Germany again...

These boots are great! Super cute and VERY durable. They will definitely last. My son is almost out of a sz 8 and I ordered these in a sz 8. They run big. He has quite a bit of room to grow, so I would recommend order true to size. If your child is a half size, order down!

I love these boots, they're great for stomping in puddles, but just be aware that the size is bigger than for regular shoes. My 22mo son just had his feet measured at a 7.5 at Stride Rite, so I figured I'd buy an 8 so he'd be able to use them all summer. Well, these boots are *enormous* on him to the point where they actually fall off if I'm carrying him. I think he'll be wearing them next summer instead, and we'll have to get some smaller ones for this year.

These were very heavy and put together great. Much better than the lighter boots at Wal-mart, K-Mart, etc. She grew out of them and I sold them to another parent and they love them as well.

I bought the black ones and liked them so well I also bought the brown ones. They are extremely comfortable, easy to get on and off, and run true to size. They look great with skinny jeans or skirts. The only thing I don't like, as another reviewer said, is the sound they make from the hard rubber heel caps. ButI have worn them all day and they still feel great at 5:00!

I purchased these in brown and love, love, love them. They are comfortable, easy to pull on and off. Once on I forget they are there. I am self employed and wear these boots almost every day. When I'm helping customers I'm standing on very hard floors for many hours and my feet do not swell, hurt or get blisters. Most of my other shoes I can wait to get off. True to size. I love the "weathered" look. The last pair of Nine West boots I had I wore them for years until they were worn out and torn.

These boots are fabulous and one of my favorite pair in my repertoire. Really comfy, go with many outfits and will stick around forever. I just sent them to the cobbler and they look like I just bought them. I use mine with insoles and I also broke my ankle a while back and I can still easily get them on and off without any struggle. I recommend getting a size lower than usual. I wear a 7.5 and got a 7...and they fit perfectly. Hope you love them as much as I do!

Outside of the fact that NO ONE will be seen in public with me while I'm wearing my red ladybug boots, they are one of my best buys in a long time. I have not had them split at the heel that some customers have complained of, and I'm fairly rough with my footwear, but I suppose that's where duct tape would come in handy! I also paid attention to the customers that said the boots ran a little large. My feet are a comfortable 8 1/2, so I ordered an 8, and they fit quite nicely. They slip on quickly when needed, generate the appropriate laughs, what more could one ask for? To be realistic, they are cute as a button, comfortable, dry, have great traction, and they feed my need for silliness.

There were exactly what i was looking for- a little rugged and western-ish. They don't quite look like the picture on Amazon because they tend to slouch, but in a good way. In fact, i guess i prefer them this way. It is not ideal to wear with leggings but they work excellent with jeans. That's perfect for me as i'm not a big legging person and wanted them to fit over skinny jeans, which they do very well. The leather looks and feels really good, the construction is fabulous and it looks expensive. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again! I manage to walk all day in these and stay comfortable yet stylish. They do tend to run a little bigger. I usually wear a 8.5 but the 8 worked great for me. Good for people with wide calves and longer legs.

I loved the look of these boots when I saw them on Amazon. I live in New Zealand so it was quite an effort to get them to me; I had to have them delivered to a relative in the States and then sent to me in NZ. So with the exchange rate and delivery costs they ended up costing me over $160!! And I hate them! I have worn them once and they fell down to my ankles within seconds of walking in them. If they would stay up I would adore them; they are a lovely chocolate colour, the suede looks good, and they are a perfect height (I am 5'10" and it is hard to find boots long enough) but they WON'T STAY UP!!! So there they sit in my closet looking pretty ...

If anyone has some trick to keep them up that they could share I would be eternally grateful!

"Western Chief Fireman Rain Boots" 2009-11-19

These boots are really good quality, and my son LOVES them. They look great too. The bad news (for us anyway) is that they seem to run a bit large and are very heavy (due to thick, sturdy rubber soles on the bottom). They are a bit awkward for him to walk in, but he tries anyway. He mostly succeeds in getting where he wants to go in them on level surfaces, but everytime he lifts up his feet to go up steps or to climb up onto a seat, they fall off his feet. I am still rating these a 4 out of 5, because they are great boots... I am just hoping they are more practical for my son when he grows into them!

I have bought these boot twice now and both times they came apart at the seams around the toes within 2 months of wear. We live in a mountain area that consists of some paved roads and some dirt. My son mostly wears them on walks or playing in the yard. He plays like any other 5 year old, but these shoes do not hold up. His friend also got a pair and they came apart in the same area. I love the design but will not purchase again do to the lack of durability.

I'd give 'em two stars 'cause my son liked 'em a lot and they were good while they lasted...which wasn't long enough. But I'm pretty peeved about the quality so they get one star.

With only occasional use they had completely disintegrated within a year. Rubber just cracked apart into a rotten mess. Totally unacceptable. Kids shoes should last to be hand-me-downs...especially if they aren't everyday shoes.

I'm guessing most of the glowing reviews come from folks who have happy kids after owning them for two weeks.
